In 978, Brian Boru was crowned as the High King at Cashel, establishing it as his capital.

There will be an opportunity to visit the impressive Cormac’s Chapel - one of the best examples of 12th century Romanesque architecture in Ireland with the only surviving Romanesque frescoes in Ireland.
