Jakarta Street Food Walking Tour

Emir is amazing tour guide! This is much more than a food tour - it is a walking cultural tour. I loved the delicious food, especially the last stop for mie ayam, and Emir did an amazing job pivoting based on my interests or vendor availability. He's also incredibly informative about the culture in Jakarta and Indonesia broadly. Emir is generous with his time and so fun to spend an evening with - I can't recommend him enough!

We had an amazing evening with Emir for the street food tour. When we met it started raining like crazy for a long time, but Emir took it in stride. Even though after the rain finally broke a number of the vendors had closed shop for the night we still managed to eat a number of local dishes. I am GF and he did a great job finding some things that I could safely enjoy. Highly recommend Emir as a guide.

Emir was an exceptional tour guide who was knowledgeable, personable, and spoke excellent English. We loved the different foods that we tried, and walking around the Glodok/Kota area. Overall, two thumbs up!!

Emir was a great host and guide for this tour. He showed us around the most amazing places in Jakarta that we wouldn’t be able to find on our own. Emir was super friendly and knew everything about all the places that we visited. We had a wonderful evening in Jakarta. He was also super knowledgeable on the places that we’d visit after Jakarta, like Bandung and Yogyakarta. Definitely a guide we’d recommend!

It was a total pleasure meeting Emir. He was polite, punctual and made me feel at ease instantly. We were in contact via WhatsApp as soon we discussed the itinerary. He was able to cater for my tastes, flexibility and timing. We experienced many flavors throughout the tour. However, the highlight was getting to learn about the culture and Emir of course. He is very knowledgeable while being super chilled and knows the city and things to do very well! I didn't quite make it to 10 tasters (the food is that good!!) but Emir was able to quickly modify the tail end of the experience with a delicious coffee and local sweet treats accompaniment. I would super recommend this experience! Ps. I am a well travelled solo traveler. Food. Fun. Full belly and coffee!

We have had the Food-tour with Emir in Jakarta, and we can only recommend it. I am vegetarian and Emir showed me some great veggie-food which I would not have tried on my own, but loved it. On top of the actual food his knowledge about Jakarta was good and while walking through the city he gave us some insights as a local. New tastes on amazing food tour!

We had a most delightful street food tour with Emir. First of all his English was excellent. So conversation was easy and relaxing. He even rescued us when our Google Maps did not function anymore. But of course the important part was the food. We had a bit of everything spicy, sweet, sour in different combinations and at places we would have never found ourselves. A tour of culinary surprises!!

We had an awesome night out with Emir. He showed us lots of amazing street food and had a lot of knowledge of its history as well. We felt very well taken care of and it was like spending the night with a friend. He went above and beyond for us and we will absolutely be recommending him to all our friends. Awesome night out!

Emir took us for the food tour and it was incredible. He showed us around and made sure to take us to all his personal favorite food places, so it really felt authentic and the food of course was amazing. Emir went well above what we asked and we loved hanging out with him. He showed us after the tour some of his favorite coffee and drinking places and gave us a lot of very helpful advice for other parts of Indonesia. Emir was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable, and gave us hints on other local hidden gems to try out around Jakarta and beyond. I would highly recommend Emir for the food tour or any other tours he offers as his knowledge and companionship is unrivaled. Fantastic food, fantastic guy!
