Highlights of Bangkok Tour and Grand Palace
Overview
The tour to visit the oldest part of Bangkok, Ratanakosin Island.
Together we will walk to the Grand Palace and visit the Emerald Buddha where we can pay an homage to the Buddha. Along the temple walls I will take you on an epic story called the Ramayana to learn how good will always conquers bad. This story is painted decoratively on the temple walls. We continue to the Grand Palace where all royal ceremonies are held and the present king sometimes dwells in search of wisdom.
Hop on a tuk-tuk as you make your way to the next highlight, at Wat Pho you will visit the reclining Buddha and the first massage school in Thailand. Then crossing the Chao Phaya River to see the well know Bangkok's landmark, the Prang Tower of Arun Temple.
From here we'll walk to the colorful Pak Klong Talad flower market to see the Thai merchant lifestyle.
As a friendly reminder please keep in mind that there is a dress code to enter these buildings. Please wear long pants, skirts or dresses, and a long sleeve shirt.
08.00 am. we meet up at your hotel.
08.45 am. Visit the Grand Palace, one of the most magnificent palaces in the world, and the Temple of Emerald Buddha, the location of the most venerated and famous Buddha image in Thailand
10.00 am. Visit Wat Pho , Bangkok's oldest and biggest temple, where you can see the iconic reclining Golden Buddha. Admire the incredible piece, and hear all about its meaning
11.30 am. Take a break and enjoy a delicious lunch
12.30 pm. Wat Arun Rajwararam (Temple of Dawn),The highlight of Wat Arun is the grand pagoda, or prang in Thai.
01.30 pm. Continue to the Pak Klong talad flower market and roam this colorful flower and vegetable market.
02.30 pm. It's time to return to your hotel
