Copenhagen Private Walking Tour
Overview
Experience the most beautiful parts of Copenhagen’s old town on this short introduction tour.
On this tour, we will visit the historical sights in some of the oldest parts of town and walk from one part of city center to the other. You’ll get an overview of the city, which will help you familiarize yourself with what Copenhagen has to offer.
During the tour, we will visit famous sights such as the cathedral of Copenhagen, City Hall, the Round Tower, the narrow and picturesque streets of the old town, the parliament on the Castle Island, the King’s New Square, the beautiful colored houses of the Nyhavn district, and finally the home of the Danish royal family and the impressive Marble Church.
You will learn about the city’s history, Denmark’s famous laid-back culture, and how to find the best local spots for food, drinks, and shopping. You will get insider knowledge of Copenhagen from the perspective of a native Dane and professional guide.
Maximum of 20 participants. Tour can be customized or made longer if requested prior to booking. Only offered as a private tour.
Meeting point: Dragon Fountain on City Hall Square.
How to prepare for the walking tour: Bring a bottle of water for warm days, check the weather forecast 1 day in advance and bring a jacket or coat and comfortable shoes depending on the season and weather. Rain jacket and/or umbrella is good to bring even in summer, as it can be rainy and windy even in June and July. Bring a hat, gloves and warm shoes/boots in late autumn and winter. It can get quite cold.
Level of activity: Moderate walking at a slow pace for around 2.8 kilometers.
Inside visit usually possible on weekdays or Sunday afternoon, but access is not guaranteed as there might be an ongoing church service when we pass by during the tour.
